The Polaroid microphone shock mount is just what you need to reduce and/or eliminate noise in your recordings caused by the physical movements of an external microphone. When a microphone is interested in a ordinary clip mount and then attached to a camera , low frequency vibrations from the camera body will travel up to the microphone putting unwanted noise in your soundtrack

Simple causes for noise are pressing and releasing shutter or record button, changing position of hands, grabbing hold of a lens or to refocus. When attached to a microphone stand, vibration travels from the floor, up the stand and onto the microphone body

With the Polaroid shock mount, vibrations from the adjustable mounting clip are directed onto four flexible suspension bands which absorb the vibrations. The microphone body remains insulated from annoying equipment noises.

Should one of the suspension bands become overstretched or broken, two spare bands are included in this package. You can mount it via you camera/camcorders hot shoe or mount with a 20, 5/8 thread.
